Mac Duo now feels more at home on your Mac, with a more consistent interface, a calmer preview and an experience that adapts to the macOS you're running.

One interface

Every window now shares the same surfaces, spacing and buttons, so Mac Duo feels like one app wherever you are in it.

Suited to your macOS

The interface takes on the look of whichever macOS you are running, with a refined finish on newer systems and a properly native one on earlier releases.

Light and Dark

Mac Duo follows your Mac's appearance and reads clearly in both.

A calmer preview

The Settings preview plays through once when you open it, then waits. Scrub it by hand, press Play to loop it, or Pause to hold a frame. It also stops rendering when you're not using it.

More control over your fold

Finer control over when the fold responds, what it does while the lid is still, and how clearly Mac Duo tells you what it found on your Mac.

Minimum movement

Set how far the lid has to move before the fold responds, so small adjustments while you work are less likely to trigger it.

Resting angle

Recalibrate your resting angle and Mac Duo remembers it, including between launches.

Stationary frame rate

Choose 15, 30, 60, 90 or 120 FPS for when the lid is still. Moving the lid returns the fold to full rate, and a lower stationary rate can reduce battery use.

Sensor detection

Mac Duo is better at finding the lid-angle sensor. Some Macs do not expose the continuous sensor the fold needs, and Mac Duo now explains that clearly when it cannot find one.

Settings preview

The Settings preview now stops when the Settings window is closed, reducing unnecessary background work.

Update checks

Mac Duo checks macduo.co.uk for a newer version. It is the app's only network connection, and you can turn it off from the menu bar.
